The company was established in 1984 by JRD Tata. It was revived in 2006 by Brotin Banerjee, the managing director and CEO of Tata Housing Development Company Limited. The company's CEO at the time was Sanjay Dutt. [1] With the completion of several significant projects since the company's founding in 2006, it has developed into one of India's top comprehensive real estate development enterprises.
Tata Homes was the first business to create affordable housing for the underprivileged. The idea of long-term green development was established with its first commercial project, Bengaluru's first sustainable IT park, Xylem. Since that time, every building owned by Tata Housing, from inexpensive and affordable housing to ultra-luxury housing, has earned a gold LEED certification.
